FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: according to the method for diagnostics of technical condition of rotor units, probability ratios of false alarm and of errors of defect omission are set, lower and upper critical values limiting the uncertainty zone are set, parameters of rotor unit device vibrations are measured as well the value of by-factor, for example, shaft rotation speed. Then the values of diagnostic characters are determined, and compared to the critical values. In case the diagnostic character falls within the uncertainty zone, the additional test is performed at another value of the by-factor, for example, at increased rotation speed. The technical condition of rotor units is identified basing on the results of comparison of the measure diagnostic character values and respective critical values.

EFFECT: increased reliability of diagnostics of rotor units' technical condition.
