FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: multitower sprinkling machine has water pipeline mounted on supporting carts, yoke-type sprinkler units, mechanism for connecting machine to hydrant of pressure irrigation pipeline network, drive mechanism for moving machine along field, mechanism for synchronized rotation of sprinkler units, sprinkler unit retainers, and mechanism for retracting sprinkler unit retainers to neutral position. Mechanism for synchronized rotation of sprinkler units has hydraulic cylinder with piston driven by water pressure in water pipeline through slide and tie-rod. Slide is connected to timer. One end of tie-rod is connected to piston stem and other end is connected to mechanism for retracting sprinkler unit retainers to neutral position. Retainers are made in the form of double-armed levers positioned on axles of rotation and are mounted on sprinkler unit columns. Lower end of retainers is fixed on tie-rod and upper end periodically moves sprinkler units to initial synchronous position. Before being mounted on machine, sprinkler units must be calibrated for equal speeds of rotation within working pressure interval in water pipeline. EFFECT: improved quality of irrigation, reduced infiltration losses and decreased water erosion of soil on irrigated field. 4 cl, 5 dwg
