METHOD FOR CHEILOPLASTY AT RECONSTRUCTION OF VERMILION BORDER AND EXTERNAL SLOPE OF INFERIOR LIP Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, oral surgery. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out two horizontal incisions of mucosa performed at the level of mouth angle on the first cheek, and along the level of transitional fold of mouth cavity vestibule on the second cheek. Triangle fragments of mucosa and cutaneous-fatty ones dissected on cheeks are formed and applied one above another and at the border of their coincidence one should make arch-like cutaneous dissection being mirror-congruent vermilion border of superior lip. Cutaneous "islets" are dissected by developing fatty "pad" of external slope of inferior lip. Mucous fragments are applied and fixed above fatty "pad" to wound edge formed due to arch-like cutaneous dissection by forming vermilion border and external slope of inferior lip.
