METHOD FOR SURGICAL RECONSTRUCTION OF CENTRAL DEFECT IN INFERIOR LIP Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, oral surgery. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out two symmetrical through horizontal buccal incisions at the level of inferior transitional fold of mouth cavity vestibule to the sides against inferior defect of inferior lip by developing two symmetrical full-layer rectangular labial- buccal fragments. Additionally, one should apply bilateral symmetrical through buccal incisions at the level of mouth angles consisting of two length-similar fragments. "Initial" fragments are directed along border cutaneous-mucous line of lateral departments of superior lip against the middle of speculative line connecting mouth angle and protuberance point of filtrum's column up to the nearest mouth angle. "Final" fragments are applied from mouth angles towards cheeks parallel to inferior transitional fold of mouth cavity vestibule. One should form mucous-muscular fragments of superior lip "upon two pedicles". The mentioned fragments are replaced towards "final" fragments of incisions.
