FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has instrument for removing lens fragments affected by cataract or for supplying physiological salt solution, drugs or blood substitute agent into the anterior chamber of eye. The instrument is connected to hydraulic circuit supporting vacuum intensity level and pulsating current reversing in suction canal required for making removal. The apparatus is controlled with pedal having intermediate stopper. Ultrasonic system is available for determining distance between working end of the instrument and the surface of the nearest eye organ. Vacuum intensity level control and its adjustment functions are available in the apparatus depending on the distance. The distance being dangerously small, vacuum intensity is reduced to safe level. When touching the nearest eye organ surface with the instrument, vacuum is completely eliminated. EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications when performing surgical intervention. 11 cl, 2 dwg
