FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air cushion vehicles, particularly, to device designed for building air cushions. Proposed device has housing accommodating higher pressure receiver, fan set for delivering air into receiver and higher pressure zone guard system. Receiver is divided into compartments. Housing of device is made in form of cup with cylindrical section provided with air intake ports near bottom. Bottom is load-bearing platform of device. Cylindrical section of housing smoothly changes into thin-walled rim formed by rotation of semicircumference relative to axis parallel to diameter of semicircumference. Torus is fitted inside housing equidistantly relative to inner surface of rim. Ring clearance formed by inner surface of rim and surface of torus is divided into equal sectors by radially installed plates at pitch of 1.5-5 degrees. Forced-draught fan is installed is inside housing. Support made in form of truncated cone is secured on outer surface of rim. Plane formed by base of cone is located than plane formed by rim cut along axis of device. Ring clearance can be located in direction of air flow stalling from fan blades. Blades can have adjustable angle of attack. EFFECT: simplified design, improved efficiency of vehicle in service owing to increased load capacity and provision of sufficient stability in motion. 3 cl, 1 dwg
