FIELD: certifying, verifying, and calibrating radar range meters, mainly fixed-range reference meters. SUBSTANCE: radar reflector that provides for desired correspondence between geometric and electrodynamic ranges accurate to not worse than 0.0012 of wavelength in wavelength range ±10% and 0.0014 of wavelength in wavelength range ±20% when its size equals two and four Fresnel regions, respectively, at medium wavelength of range is built of at least three groups of sectors, each group including equal-radius sectors, sector radius of groups varying by one Fresnel region for medium wavelength of range, and sums of angular quantities of equal- radius sectors are distributed obeying law close to binomial one. Minimal radius of group of reflector sectors may be arbitrary including zero. Reflector is symmetrical relative to rectangular coordinate system axes; equal-radius sectors are uniformly shared among all quadrants. Absorbing material in the form of parts of circular rings complementing sectors to respective Fresnel regions for waves reflected from shaded reflectors is disposed on outer edges of reflector sectors.
