FIELD: variable-range reference reflectors for certifying, verifying, and calibrating radar range meters. SUBSTANCE: planar radar reflector that ensures desired agreement between geometric and electrodynamic ranges accurate to not worse than 1/63, 1/200, and 1/630 of wavelength at maximal sizes of 1.4, 1.62, and 1.84 of first Fresnel region diameter, respectively, is made in the form of at least two identical lobes symmetrical with respect to their axes which are formed by sectors whose radii are monotonously varying by equal part of Fresnel region for medium wavelength of range, angular values of sectors being distributed obeying law affording electrodynamic range error dependence described by Chebyshev polynomial. Lobe edge is made over envelope of centers of external edges of sectors in case of great number of sectors in reflector lobe. EFFECT: enhanced operating precision of reflector. 2 cl, 3 dwg
