FIELD: electrical equipment for traction vehicles. SUBSTANCE: electric power transmission device has traction synchronous generator driven by heat-engine, synchronous- generator excitation unit, traction induction motors, and transmission-device control unit. Stator windings of traction synchronous generator are connected to those of two identical traction induction motors. Rotor windings of traction induction motors are interconnected in series and connected to dc motor whose shaft is coupled with heat-engine shaft and field winding is connected to second excitation unit through rectifier. Shafts of traction induction motors are intercoupled and coupled with axles of traction vehicle moving wheels. Stator of one of traction induction motors is free to turn and is coupled with turning gear; control unit is connected to heat-engine, excitation units of traction synchronous generator and dc motor, and to stator turning gear of traction induction motor.
