FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coolant temperature automatic control systems used in cooling systems of vehicle power plants. Proposed temperature regulator contains ac power source, control element, induction motor and cooling fan. Regulator has two similar induction motors with phase-wound rotors whose stator windings are connected to power source, rotor windings are connected in series by means of resistors, and shafts are connected with cooling fan shaft. Stator of one of induction motors is made turnable, being connected with turning mechanism connected to control element.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved reliability of regulator.
