FIELD: transport engineering; electric vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed transmission contains traction ac generator set into operation from vehicle engine and induction traction motors. Traction generator is induction machine whose stator winding is connected directly to induction traction motors, and phase rotor winding is connected to frequency converter. The later is connected to frequency regulator of induction traction generator connected with controller and to stator winding of synchronous exciter set into rotation by vehicle engine. Exciter field winding is connected to voltage regulator of induction traction generator connected with controller. Proposed transmission provides smooth and continuous changing of tangential tractive force and speed of vehicle without use of intermediate converters and change-over devices between traction generator and traction motors. EFFECT: enlarged range of speed, improved traction characteristics, reliability and economy. 2 dwg
