FIELD: railway transport; electric rolling stock.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ac transmission of traction vehicle contains traction synchronous generator with field unit driven by heat engine, induction traction motor with phase-wound rotor whose shaft is coupled with driving wheel axle, direct frequency converter with control unit and heat engine and electric transmission control unit. Stator windings of induction traction motor are connected to stator windings of synchronous traction generator, and rotor winding, to output of direct frequency converter, also connected to stator windings of synchronous traction generator. Heat engine and electric power transmission control unit is connected to heat engine, to field unit of synchronous traction generator and to control unit of direct frequency converter.
EFFECT: provision of stepless and economic control of speed of rotation of vehicle traction electric motors.
