FIELD: fire extinguishers. SUBSTANCE: salt-freon suspension is designated for extinguishing fires of different classes. Suspension comprises mineral base, organic liquid and dispersing additive taken in the definite ratio of components. Suspension comprises lecithin as a dispersing additive. Suspension comprises at least one of the following compounds as an active base: monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate, ammoniun sulfate, ammonium carbonate, potassium hydrocarbonate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride. Suspension comprises at least one of the following compounds as an organic liquid: difluorotetrachloroethane, trifluorotrichloroethane, dichlorotetrafluoroethane, fluorotetrachloroethane, difluorotrichloro- ethane, trifluorodichloroethane, difluorodibromomethane, trifluoro- dibromochloroethane, dibromotetrafluoroethane or their mixtures. Method for preparing salt-freon composition involves its preparing from an active mineral base, organic liquid and dispersing additive being the latter is dissolved in small amount of freon or mixture of freons and added in the selected amount of liquid phase.
