FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical technology of titanium-containing concentrates giving composite products used in production of varnish-and-paint materials, plastics, paper, and sorbents. Concentrate is decomposed by sulfuric acid solution. Solid precipitate is separated from solution. To solution is added silicon-containing solution, which additionally contains phosphate ion. Addition of this solution is effected at velocity 3 to 10 vol %/min to ensure molar ratio of TiO2/SiO2/P2O5, equal to 1:(0.25-0.5):(0.5-2). Titanium-containing complex is precipitated under reflux conditions. Precipitate is separated, washed, and thermally treated at 50 to 550 C to produce silicon-containing titanium phosphate composition. As silicon containing solution, filtrate from interaction of 5-35% phosphoric acid with nepheline, sodium silicate, or amorphous silica. EFFECT: improved specific light resistance and sorption capacity characteristics of silicon-containing titanium phosphate composition. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 5 ex
