FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the processing of titanium-containing concentrate by its destruction carried out by its portionwise adding at heating to the sulphuric acid solution and following allowance of the suspension after every portion input (except the last one) during not more than 4 hrs. Then the solid residue is separated from titanium-containing solution, phosphate/silicon containing reagent is added to the solution with forming of the precipitate, the titanium-containing pastelike precipitate is washed with water and undergoes the thermal treatment with obtaining of titanium phosphate silicon-containing composition. Before the washing the pastelike precipitate is stabilised with phosphoric acid. Precipitate washing is carried out up to pH 1.5-2.7 and granulated. Then obtained granules are dried, treated with alkali solution up to pH 3-7 and thermotreated.
EFFECT: enhancing of titanium extraction to solution, increase of the sorption capacity and versatility of titanium/phosphate/silicon-containing composition and obtaining of target product in the form of mechanically stable granules.
