FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing technology of titanium- -calcium raw, mainly to decomposition of sphene concentrate. Treatment of sphene concentrate is carried out under hermetical conditions of reactor with 20- 30% nitric acid in the presence of fluoride ions that are taken in the amount 0.2-0.5 mole/mole of TiO2 as hydrofluoric or fluosilicic acid and the following cooling reaction mass to 20-25 C and separation of titanium- containing residue by filtration. Treatment is carried out preferably at temperature 100-110 C for 5 h and under pressure 0.12 MPa, not above. Method provides the enhancement of calcium extraction to solution up to 95.0- 98.2% and increasing part of chemically active anatase form of titanium dioxide in residue to 100%. Invention can be used for production of deficient and high-quality titanium-base products. EFFECT: improved decomposition method. 3 cl, 1 tbl, 6 ex
