FIELD: purification of drain water. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary electrochemical treatment of drain water for removal of contaminants with conversion of at least 25 wt% of ammonia nitrogen into nitrate, with active chlorine produced upon treatment process facilitating disinfection of water under treatment; filtering drain water and subjecting to reverse osmosis separation; providing final cleaning of permeate on sorbent; returning part of concentrate (up to 35 wt%) into polygon body and feeding at least 65 wt% of concentrate into evaporator and accumulating vessel-crystallizer; discharging crystalline salt from vessel-crystallizer for utilization. EFFECT: increased efficiency in purifying drain water of solid domestic waste polygons from ammonia nitrogen, heavy metals, mineral salts, improved ecology control on area occupied with polygon. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 4 tbl
