FIELD: catalytic reactors of radial type for production of synthesis gas applicable in chemical industry for processing of hydrocarbon gases. SUBSTANCE: catalytic reactor has plugged from one side gas distributing tube with catalyst layer. Catalyst is made in form of gas-permeable flat and corrugated strips wound and baked with gas distributing tube with gaps between turns and formation of gas-air ducts between strips. Catalyst presents reinforced porous material containing active components in form of rhodium, nickel, platinum, iron, cobalt, rhenium, ruthenium. Gas distributing tube has perforations with diameter less than critical and provided with jets dissector. Reactor is provided with electric heating device for its staring for operation. EFFECT: higher efficiency of catalytic conversion of methane into synthesis gas due to efficient design of catalytic reactor. 4 cl, 2 dwg
