FIELD: material working, namely laser punching of holes in different materials, for example in biological tissues such as heart muscle-myocardium during operation of laser revascularization of miocardium. SUBSTANCE: laser installation with resonator may generate irradiation pulse. Selecting unit of laser installation selects azimuth polarization mode with polarization linear at each point of laser starting pattern and normal relative to straight line connecting given point with laser beam center. Polarization always is normal to plane of irradiation incidence onto lateral wall of hole. It allows to provide minimum heating of lateral walls of holes. EFFECT: increased depth of holes, lowered softening of materials, reduced thermal deformations of blank. 5 cl, 1 dwg
