FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, amino acids. SUBSTANCE: L-arginine is prepared by culturing the bacterial strain Escherichia coli exhibiting ability to utilize acetate. After accumulation L-arginine is isolated from cultural fluid. The strain Escherichia coli 382 (VKPM B-7926) exhibiting ability to utilize acetate is used as producer of L-arginine. Invention allows to obtain the increased yield of L-arginine using bacterial cells of Escherichia coli able to utilize acetate. EFFECT: improved preparing method, increased yield. 4 cl, 3 tbl, 4 ex
