FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: method for detonation operation of an internal combustion engine with forced ignition of the fuel-air mixture when the pressure in the combustion chamber (30) ensuring combustion is reached is that after fuel injection with the creation of a lean fuel-air mixture, when the pressure in the combustion chamber (30) reaches 1.0-1.5 MPa from the cavity of the combustion chamber (30) is separated by two detonation chambers (20). Forced spark ignition is performed in combustion chamber (30) when pressure in the combustion chamber reaches 30 MPa. Detonation self-ignition occurs in the first detonation chamber (20) after 25 degrees of rotation of the crankshaft (2) from TDC when gases enter its cavity from the combustion chamber (30) with a pressure of 5.0 MPa and a temperature above 1000 degrees Celsius. In the second detonation chamber, detonation self-ignition occurs after 50 degrees of rotation of the crankshaft (2) from TDC when gases enter its cavity from the combustion chamber with a pressure of 5.0 MPa and a temperature above 1000 degrees Celsius. A two-stroke multi-fuel internal combustion engine is disclosed.
EFFECT: increasing power and reliability.
