FIELD: machining and preservation of wood in any branches of national economy, especially in the furniture industry. SUBSTANCE: liquid impregnating composition is forced through the wood blank in the form of non-peeled rough logs of any moisture content from its one end to the other along the fibers at a simultaneous built-up of excessive pressure of the impregnating composition at one end of the blank, and vacuum - at the other. Then the pressure at the ends is equalized, and an air pressure lower than at the ends is built up on the external side surface of the blank. Wood is subjected to drying without removing the pressure at the blank. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg, 1 ex
