FIELD: inorganic chemistry, particularly, methods of nitrogen separation from vapor-gas mixture produced in oxidation of isopropyl alcohol in production of hydrogen peroxide. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that vapor-gas mixture after absorption with water and containing oxygen, nitrogen, vapors of water, acetone and isopropyl alcohol is subjected to reaction with hydrogen in presence of nickel-copper-chromium catalyst at temperature from 200 to 500C. Then, gas is cooled and subjected to sprinkling with alkali solution. In this case, obtained aqueous solution of sodium carbonate is separated, and produced nitrogen containing water vapors is subjected to dehydration. Nickel-copper-chromium catalyst contains, wt.%: nickel oxide 30-35; copper oxide 30-35; chromium oxide 30-40. Claimed method of nitrogen separation provides for production of gaseous nitrogen as commercial product used for its direct designated purposes in chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical and other industries. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl, 1 ex
