FIELD: methods and devices for continuous thermochemical processing of carbon-containing raw materials; applicable in production of carbons. SUBSTANCE: plant for embodiment of claimed method has three chambers: preliminary heating of raw materials, carbonization and aging, and calcination-activation. The latter forms activation unit. Aging chamber is made in form of interconnected two sections. Prepared carbon- containing raw material is supplied to preliminary heating chamber in which it is treated at variable and regulated heating rate. Heated raw material enters calcination-activation chamber, where it is subjected to calcination or calcination and then, activation. From calcination-activation chamber material is fed to aging chamber. Supplied to the first section of aging chamber is tap water through jet nozzles, and supplied to the next section is products of thermal decomposition of wood or flue gases produced by combustion of vapor-gas mixture and/or various types of fuel through branch pipe. Finished product is discharged through system of discharge gates. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method. 3 cl, 1 dwg
