FIELD: power engineering, possibly boiler aggregates. SUBSTANCE: method of combusting liquid fuel comprises steps of mixing it with part of air (primary air); creating vertical torch and feeding remaining air (secondary air) to upper portion of torch in such as way that to provide passing of flue gases (recirculation gases) through glowing layer of fuel. Novelty is heating layer of fuel up to temperature of reducing flue gases by carbon of fuel due to using combustion heat of part of fuel. Primary air provides only maintaining of reaction for reducing flue gases by carbon of fuel due to oxidizing part of fuel. Combustible gaseous reduction products are burnt in atmosphere of secondary air. EFFECT: lowered concentration of nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide, soot in flue gases, enhanced efficiency of boiler. 1 dwg
