FIELD: fire fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods for ignition and explosion prevention in transportation and storage of hydrogen or hydrogenous gas mix disengage materials, mainly undrained corrosion damaged spent atomic fuel when transported and stored in a leak-proof case. According to a suggested method, the materials are placed in a primary leak-proof container, and an inhibitor is introduced in the primary and connected secondary leak-proof containers. The inhibitor is introduced in each container in the retard concentration determined by gas mix pressure in each containers and the relation of its components. Chemical composition and quantitative relation and gas mix pressure are monitored to estimate the need of introducing an extra amount of the inhibitor, and the inhibitor is introduced by the monitoring results.
EFFECT: maintained retard concentration of the inhibitor, chemical composition, quantitative relation and gas mix pressure at the level to provide fire and explosion safety of the gas mix.
