ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2203144 C2

FIELD: concentration of minerals. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic separator includes magnetic system made in form of two electromagnets located at spaced relation on both sides of separation zone; clearance between electromagnets is adjustable; electromagnets are connected to AC mains through rectifying diodes; starts of windings of both electromagnets are connected to cathode of one of rectifying diodes and to anode of other rectifying diode for forming pulsating magnetic field; separator is also provided with feeder, separation product receiver and drums revolving in horizontal plane around electromagnets. Feeder is made in form of belt conveyer. Electromagnets and conveyer are located for motion in horizontal and vertical planes for selection of working zone of separation at maximum gradient of field. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation of magnetic and non-magnetic minerals at size of up to 10 mm. 2 dwg
