FIELD: analytical and radiation chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of investigation or analysis of soil by special methods and designated for providing effective concentration process of iodine isolated from large soil mass and sorbed on carbon fabric with organic filling agent. Carbon fabric with organic filling agent where iodine is fixed is subjected for gasification in atmosphere of excessive oxygen level providing the process of its frontal self-combustion. Excessive oxygen is fluidized in flask cooled by liquid nitrogen being the internal flask surface thin alcohol layer is frozen on. All products of fabric gasification in common with iodine are transferred to prepared cryogenic liquid followed by successive evaporation of cryogenic liquid and other volatile products of fabric gasification. Spirituous alkali solution is added to the remained alcoholic solution to pH = 7 and kept its up to complete precipitate formation that is filtered of. Alcohol from the solution is evaporated to the required volume and liquid scintillating agent and alkaline solution are added to this volume and radioactivity of iodine-129 in the prepared counting sample is measured by the known scheme beta-X-unit coincidence.
