SUBSTANCE: invention concerns area of nuclear power and is intended for processing and storage of a radioactive waste of long-living radionuclides, in particular, for processing long-living I-129 radionuclide at the reference with the fulfilled nuclear fuel. The way of fixation of a radioisotope of iodine-129 in a hard matrix includes its allocation in the course of processing of a solution of the fulfilled nuclear fuel, transfer of iodine containing in an initial nitrate solution in the molecular form, extraction of molecular iodine, including iodine-129, in organic solvent and its fixing in a hard matrix. As organic solvent for iodine extraction, use aliphatic hydrocarbons. Perform persorption of iodine from organic solvent. As a sorbent at persorption of iodine from organic solvent, use yttrium diphthtalocyanine. Iodine fixation is carried out in a carbon matrix. A carbon matrix is obtained in the course of yttrium diphthtalocyanine pyrolysis with occluded iodine in the range of temperatures 850-900°C in the closed volume under the pressure of gaseous products of yttrium diphthtalocyanine pyrolysis and iodine vapour.
EFFECT: method of radionuclide fixation allows fixing effectively iodine - 129 in a hard matrix, where there are no isotopes strongly activated by neutrons, and to spend a transmutation in the simple way.
