FIELD: mining of saline deposits by chamber system with roof rigid support. SUBSTANCE: method includes extraction of mineral by chambers, formation of interchamber pillars with substandard safety margin and its increase to standard value due to subsequent formation of combined barrier pillars and filling of free mined-out space with brines in mine abandonment. Interchamber pillars are formed with consideration of their additional unloading as a result of redistribution of rock pressure onto marginal mass limiting extraction section by short side. Analytical estimation of stability of each interchamber pillar of such geometrical system is carried out with consideration of combined effect of combined barrier pillars, brines pressure onto walls and roof of chambers, ratio of minimal width of extraction district to depth of mining. EFFECT: reduced mineral losses in rocks, consumption of filling material with preservation of prolonged stability of mined-out space. 2 dwg
