FIELD: mining industry, particularly underground mining.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out preparation excavation, developing mineral deposits in rooms with leaving pillars of desirable strength between rooms; performing excavation near shaft pillar by room-and-well method during which mineral is drilled out form rooms by wells with taking into consideration that final deformation of soil surface can not exceed value determined from a given mathematical expression.
EFFECT: possibility of mineral drilling out with the use of wells and with minimum sagging of overlying rock and soil due to providing necessary rigidity between shaft pillars; increased duration of vertical shaft operation under working conditions.
