FIELD: firing-up pulverized-coal- fired boilers and stabilization of combustion. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes delivery of pulverized coal air mixture to burner thermochemical preparation chamber, generation of low-temperature plasma in plasmatron, delivery of plasma jet to fuel thermochemical preparation chamber, delivery of mixture thus obtained from burner to furnace of boiler unit, delivery of secondary air to furnace and mixing it with fuel mixture in furnace, thus forming burning flame; pulverized-coal air mixture is fed to fuel thermochemical preparation chamber through swirling unit or through dust line bent to arc of circle with center lying on side opposite to plasmatron forming area at high concentration of dust near inner surface of fuel thermochemical preparation chamber; plasma jet is delivered to chamber in radius of vertical cross section or in radius of cross section located at angle of no more than 15 deg. from vertical cross section.
