FIELD: lighting-up pulverized coal boilers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is performed by generating plasma jet in plasmatron mounted in cooled branch pipe of muffle, ignition of pulverized coal aeromixture by plasma jet and delivery of heated fuel mixture from muffle to furnace of boiler unit. Temperature of fuel mixture at muffle outlet is maintained between 900 and 1100 C. It is good practice to maintain required temperature of fuel at muffle outlet by control of power of plasmatron and/or control of consumption of coal and/or control of flow rate of primary air. Sensor for determination of penetration of water into muffle aeromixture passage may be mounted in this passage for automatic disconnection of water supply for cooling the plasmatron and cooling the muffle branch pipe by signal of this sensor. Used in plasmatron are electrodes whose operating hours do no exceed the magnitude determined by formula k-t, where k is coefficient equal to 0.8-0.9. Plasmatron supply circuit is provided with sensor for determination of break of arc current in plasmatron and automatic switching-on of plasmatron oscillator for generation of plasma jet.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, reliability and stability of combustion.
