FIELD: measuring devices and processes. SUBSTANCE: flow meter includes pair of receiving-transmitting converters, two converters of driving pulses, five switching circuits, amplifier, comparator, digital-to-analog converter, analog-to-digital converter, two flip-flops, three-stage voltage divider, time-amplitude converter, two capacitors, resistor, double-stage voltage divider, microcontroller. Ratio of resistance values of divider stages provides maximally admissible transfer constant of amplifier and determines desired value of automatically set comparison threshold. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measuring due to operative tracking of receiving signal amplitude, possibility for realizing flow meter in the form of portable devices. 2 cl, 3 dwg _
