FIELD: fault protection and post-wiring elimination devices for ac circuits. SUBSTANCE: leakage current compensator inserted in power circuit of at least one electrical installation has hollow ferromagnetic core whose wall thickness is 0.25-0.075 of its length, all power-cable conductors of respective electrical installation being simultaneously positioned on its inner surface; core has at least one working phase and neutral conductors to set up inductive coupling; its primary winding current is leakage current equal to unbalance of currents through power cable, and in unauthorized leakage circuit current is passed from working neutral conductor to peripheral conducting part in opposition to leakage current. EFFECT: reduced cost, enhanced efficiency, enlarged range of leakage current compensators. 5 cl, 7 dwg
