PROCEDURE DETECTING LEAKAGE CURRENTS, POTENTIAL OF THEIR EMERGENCE AND SEARCH FOR POINTS OF THEIR ORIGIN IN POWER SUPPLY SYSTEMS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2208233 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: procedure is meant for detection of leakage currents and points of their emergence in industrial and public buildings possessing branched out three-phase and single-phase sections of power supply systems. In correspondence with procedure detecting leakage currents and search for points of their emergence condition of cable network is tested with subsequent exposure of points of origin of leakage currents by way of transmission of audio frequency signals and their recording by variable reluctance pickup. Condition of cable network is tested by measurement of current unbalances in power supply cable and of loads in power cables going out from cable distributor by interaction of their magnetic field with current pickup. Then potential of emergence of leakage currents and presence of resistance couplings of metal structure of building and zero working conductors of cable distributor unprovided by electric grounding and neutral earthing circuit of building are tested by transmission of signals from DC power source placed between metal structure and bus of zero working conductors. Thereafter presence of current is tested in working conductor of supply cable and in each outgoing cable by interaction of their magnetic field with current pickup. For next transmission of audio frequency signal leads of generator are connected between metal structures and bus of zero working conductors of each cable distributor and variable reluctance pickup is moved along tested cable to find position of corresponding abrupt change of its signal. EFFECT: widened functional potential of procedure. 11 cl, 5 dwg
