PATCH POCKET PROCESSING METHOD Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: sewing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves stitching layer to strip while departing from pocket cut by 5-10 mm; unbending layer margin and cutting-through strip along pocket contour from upper corners at distance of 1 mm from layer stitch (in case top material is leather) and 5 mm (in case top material is fabric); placing pocket part with layer under basic fabric of article; applying glue or double-sided "web" on lower edge of pocket margin; applying glue or double-sided "web" onto face side of margins with notches on preliminarily marked lines; preliminarily fixing patch pocket on strip by ironing; connecting pocket with face side of strip along margin bending line by stitching; ironing-in all margins and coating them from the top with glue or applying double-sided "web"; applying layer to margins and ironing. EFFECT: improved quality of processing patch pocket inner side and reverse side of clothing free of layer and improved strength of patch pocket attached by stitch. 2 cl, 1 dwg
