FIELD: medicine, otolaryngology. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out scanning with the help of magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) by applying impulse sequences by T1 and T2 types and computer processing of MRT- images in modes of negative print, amplitude relief and densitograms making. In comparison to muscular tissues one should detect the degree of intensity and homogeneity of magnetic resonance signal and values of focal optic density. Differential diagnostics is carried out for malignant neoplasms and benign tumors of paranasal sinuses, acute and chronic sinusites. EFFECT: higher accuracy of differential diagnostics. 3 ex
