FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to otolaryngology. In order to perform digital diaphanographic diagnostics of frontal sinusitis by X-raying frontal sinuses through lower walls with red spectrum radiation and registration of examination data by means of digital camera, performed are computer processing and local densitometry of obtained digital diaphanogram of whole anterior wall of frontal sinus and in region of internal third of superciliary arch of sinus anterior wall. Coefficients of local level of diaphanogram pixel brightness are calculated separately for left - KLl. and right - KLr. frontal sinuses. Absence of inflammation in left/and/or right frontal sinuses are determined with values KLl.≤69.25%±1.56% and/or KLr.≤69.25%±1.56%. If KLl. and/or KLr. are in range 73.67%±2.35%≤KLl.≤127.12%±2.26% and/or 73.67%±2.35%≤KLr.≤127.12%±2.26%, bi- or unilateral edematous-infiltrative frontal sinusitis is detected. Bi- or unilateral exudative frontal sinusitis is diagnosed if values KLl., and/or KLr, are in range 134.01%±4.15%≤KLl.≤353.03%±4.24% and/or 134.01%±4.15%≤KLr.≤353.03%±4.24%.

EFFECT: method allows to increase accuracy and reliability of digital diaphanographic diagnostics of frontal sinusitis essentially.
