FIELD: separation of liquid phase from sand fraction. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes forming sedimentation bed in form of particles on taper surface of hydraulic cyclone due to twisting flow of pulp, washing upper layers of said bed by liquid part of pulp, removal of thickened product and drainage of non-settled part of pulp which is forced-out to center. In the course of removal of slime, circulation of thin particles is formed which settle on surface of separator bowl mounted rotatably by feeding the particles upward due to inclination of generatrix of inner wall of separator bowl followed by entrapping them in through holes on inner part of bowl and feeding fallen particles due to inclination of generatrix line of outer wall of separator bowl; part of dehydrated particles are entrapped on taper surface of immovable part of lower portion of separator for subsequent removal as thickened product; liquid part of pulp is forced-out through vortex overflow funnel with drain vertical pipe in center. Device proposed for realization of this method has upper cylindrical part of housing with supply branch pipe cut in it and located tangentially, cover, lower part of housing with walls forming inner taper surface, branch pipe with sand packing for removal of thickened product and unit for discharge of liquid part which is made in form of drain pipe. Separator bowl secured on drive shaft on cover is mounted rotatably with its open part downward. Bowl has inner wall with generatrix line of taper surface at minimum diameter from below; cylindrical section of inner wall has holes over entire circumference and outer with generatrix line of taper surface at maximum diameter from below. Transport water supply branch pipe is located in upper portion and drain pipe is located at center of separator bowl. EFFECT: enhanced stability of desliming process at wide range of starting material size. 3 cl, 3 dwg
