FIELD: mining industry; regional unloading of outburst-prone regions of rock mass near geotectonic faults, sutures, etc, and unloading of outburst-prone pillars. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling and charging of holes in rock mass, near geotectonic fault, parallel to it from its one side. Holes are located at different distance from one another depending on their diameter, explosive detonation characteristics, physical and technical properties of rock mass, rock pressure and ordinal number (according to blasting sequence) of holes. Holes are blasted successively along fault with delay interval determined depending on said parameters. EFFECT: efficient unloading of outburst-prone rock mass due to location of holes from one side of geotectonic fault and proper determination of distance between successively blasted holes. 1 dwg, 2 tbl, 1 ex
