METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CROPPING AND PACKING OF AUTOMOBILE AND TRACTOR TIRES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: salvaging of worn-out tires, applicable for increasing the useful volume in transportation of tires to the points of processing. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in cropping of tires into separate fragments and their packing. After separation of one side wall of the treat section, the side wall is forced through into the tire cavity. The next tire is pressed in the remaining space with the caved in side wall until a pack from the required quantity of tires is formed, the tread parts of the tires are slightly cut along the generating line, and for the packet the adjacent tires are fastened. The device for cropping and packing of tires has assemblies for clamping and rotation of the tire and a cutting device. The cutting device is made in the form of a rotary table, on which the devices for tire cutting are positioned by sectors for cutting of tires in the direction perpendicular to the plane of rotation of the tires. The cutting tool is installed for burning through an angle of ±45 deg from the perpendicular to this plane.
