FIELD: processing and recycling of waste.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for processing worn, damaged or reject automobile tyres. Technical result is achieved by a method of cutting automobile tyres, which includes transversal cutting of the tread part, division of tyres into the tread part and sidewalls with longitudinal cutting using a band sawing machine. Transverse cutting of the tread part is carried out along the generatrix of the tyre across the full thickness, followed by the separation of bead rings. Tread part is cut with a width equal to or a multiple of the width of the under-rail or gasket pads. Cut tread part and sidewall of the tyre are transferred into a stressed state with rigid mechanical fixation and additional compression in moulds. Cut tread part and sidewall of the tyre are divided into measuring lengths equal in length and width to the under-rail and gasket pads on a die with simultaneous formation of process holes.

EFFECT: technical result is maximum use in the railway industry of tyres to be recycled and reduction of energy costs due to a significant reduction in the amount of wastes.
