FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: supersonic oscillations are radiated inside the blast furnace, the reflected supersonic oscillations are received, the thickness of the blast furnace brickwork is determined according to the time of propagation of supersonic oscillations. Supersonic detection is accomplished from eight points located around the edges of the blast-furnace hearth and bottom in the horizontal plane and at several angles to it. A place is prepared in each point on the blast-furnace jacket by dressing it of corrosion, a stop with a recess is fastened on the blast-furnace jacket, the supersonic oscillations generated by the piezoelectric transducer with the waveguide are fixed at the necessary angle. The receiving piezoelectric transducer is moved within the dressed place, the time of propagation of supersonic oscillations is fixed in the storage, with the aid of which the topography of erosion of the blast-furnace hearth and bottom in accordance with the mathematical model is determined. EFFECT: enhanced precision of measurement. 4 dwg
