FIELD: metallurgical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves ultrasonic location of lining layers using low-frequency oscillations with receiving reflected ultrasonic oscillations. Parameters of reflected ultrasonic oscillations are recorded in storage device, which further registers resonance spectrum of oscillations formed in lining layers both from low-frequency ultrasonic oscillation transmitters and from low-frequency ultrasonic oscillations arising within lining layers of working assembly. From frequency of these oscillations, taking into account lining material properties and in accordance with a mathematic model, one determines coordinates of lining layer borders opposite to measurement places in order to draw the lining topography.
EFFECT: increased determination accuracy.
