METHOD OF DETERMINATION OF FLOW STRING LEAKING IN INJECTION WELL EQUIPPED WITH TUBING Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: oil-gas producing industry, particularly, monitoring of oil and gas deposit development, more specifically, determination of leaking of flow string in injection well equipped with tubing. SUBSTANCE: method includes registration of flow rate of fluid injected into well by flowmeter lowered below tubing funnel. Registration of flow rate of injected fluid is carried out at wellhead as well by flowmeter of same design as of that lowered into well. Flowmeter is installed on pipe length in pressure line located in interval between pumping unit and wellhead. Leaking of flow string is detected by discrepancy of flow rates of injected water registered by flowmeters. Flowmeters are used in form of electromagnetic flowmeters. Diameter of pipe length is selected equal to diameter of flow string. Fluid for injection into well is conducting one. EFFECT: higher efficiency due to confident information on well casing string leaking. 3 dwg
