FIELD: mining; mineral opencast mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes subdivision of inclined base slope into retaining prism and active pressure prism; filling of dump layers in two stages; first, filling of retaining prism up to horizon which is determined by boundary between retaining prism and active pressure prism; filling of dump layers of the second phase above said horizon. In filling of layers of the second phase, line of front of dump layer filling is located at angle to line of strike of inclined base slope, with said angle determined by calculation. Dump filling front is advanced in parallel to slope of inclined base. EFFECT: maximum utilization of dump capacity and higher safety of dumping operations. 4 dwg, 1 tbl
