FIELD: methods of cleaning neon-helium mixture from nitrogen. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes primary cooling of raw neon- helium mixture and primary separation of part of nitrogen in form of liquid. After primary separation of nitrogen, neon-helium mixture is first compressed to 20-15o atm and then it is additionally cooled to 77.4-80 K. Condensate thus formed is fed to gas mixture which was subjected to primary cooling. Device for preliminary cleaning of raw neon-helium mixture from nitrogen includes two separation stages. First separation stage includes heat exchanger, condenser and liquid separator placed in nitrogen bath and connected in succession; its inlet is connected to air separating plant and outlet is connected to compressor inlet. Compressor is located in product discharge line. Heat exchanger is located in nitrogen bath. Additional separation stage includes heat exchanger, condenser, liquid separator and throttle valve stage are placed in nitrogen bath; inlet of additional separation stage is connected to compressor outlet and its outlet is connected to product discharge line. Lower part of liquid separator of additional separation stage is connected with upper part of liquid separator through throttle valve.
