FIELD: short-term prediction of seismic danger. SUBSTANCE: samples of depth gases are taken in advance, length of wave of spectrum of depth gases from row of sulfur-carrying, methane, halogen- hydrogen, carbon dioxide and hydrogen is established by determination of linear spectrum of light absorption. Height ( h ) of their seepage from surface of abyssal fracture is found by way of registration at different heights with the help of spectrometer with set of filters corresponding to length of wave of depth gases. Decision on presence of seismic danger is made when value h reaches value of seepage of depth gases corresponding to magnitude established by data of seismic zoning. Height of seepage of depth gases is found from aircraft or from ground equipment. Slits corresponding to lengths of spectrum of depth gases are made in filters of spectrometer. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of prediction of seismic danger. 2 cl, 3 tbl
