SUBSTANCE: electric insulator has central bearing member made in the form of body of revolution such as glass-reinforced plastic tube enclosed by external sheath of fibrous material impregnated with polymeric binder and provided with external projecting screw or internal insulating sheath of fibrous material impregnated with polymeric binder and provided with internal projecting screw (not illustrated on drawing).
